Description

The high-quality and lightweight titanium system with handmade carbon tailpipes is finished with a high-quality Link Pipe Set (SS) made of austenitic stainless steel. The valves on each side are sized to deliver a custom sound, two acoustic reflectors attached to the tailpipes direct the sound into the interior of the vehicle. Because the Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system has two valves, one more than the stock system, a TNG controller is included in the product to control the additional exhaust valve. To make the sound experience even more unique, there are two resonators specifically designed in development for this new engine. They deliver a deep, rich and sporty sound without unwanted drone or hum, perfectly matched to the inline six-cylinder. The system weighs 21.7 kg, 23% lighter than the stock system. Testing on the Akrapovič dyno compared to a BMW M440i with the stock exhaust system measured a power increase of 8.7 kW (11.8 hp) at 5,600 rpm and a torque increase of 17.1 Nm at 4,100 rpm. Special parts are cast at Akrapovič's in-house foundry to produce the intricate and complex components needed for this system. The product is intended for track use only and for vehicles without a gasoline particulate filter, reprogramming is recommended. Please note that the two product codes, S-BM/T/31H and E-BM/SS/8, are split for packaging reasons. Both codes must be ordered. The Evolution Line (Titanium) system is only suitable for vehicles without a gasoline particulate filter. For vehicles without gasoline particulate filter, the EC/ECE type approval certificate is not valid. When installing the slip-on exhaust system on the BMW M340i (G20, G21) and M440i (G22, G23, G26), an additional valve actuator (part no. 18 30 8 686 640) is required. This product is also suitable for the BMW M440i xDrive convertible (G23). This product does not meet the emission requirements for use on public roads and highways.
